Kayla
was homeschooled. She won the 2012
Lorain County Jr. Fair 4-H Leadership
Award and has held multiple leadership
positions in her 4-H clubs. She also won
the BEST Scholarship from the Ohio
Cattlemen’s Association.
Church activities/hobbies/interests:
Kayla has been a teen staff member for
preteen camp; camp counselor for 4-H
camp for several years; Jr. Fair board
member for five years; freestyle skater;
and skating coach.
Plans after graduation:
Kayla has been
accepted to the Ohio Christian Uni-
versity into their agribusiness degree
program, which she will begin in
September.
Chelsie Lachelle McGowen

High school accomplishments:
Chel-
sie served as senior class president at
Westville High School. She was also
a member of DFY, choir, speech and
drama, and she served on the Peoples
Bank board and Arvest Bank board.
Chelsie was a starter on the varsity team
for volleyball, which she had played
since seventh grade. She performed for
the Veterans Day program. Chelsie also
performed in the senior play and
Puttin’
on the Hits.
Church activities/hobbies/interests:
Chelsie has attended Pinecrest summer
camp and has served as a staff worker
for preteen camp at Camp Osage and
Camp Chattahoochee. Chelsie enjoys
singing and has performed in local
choir groups, special music, family fun
shows and Festival choirs. She has also
assisted her family with hall setup in
her local area and is always willing to
give a helping hand wherever it may be
needed! Chelsie has also given many
volunteer hours of time to her local
community.
Plans after graduation:
Chelsie has been
accepted to the Paul Mitchell School of
Cosmetology in Fayetteville, Arkansas,
where she will begin in early July. Upon
completion, she plans to attend massage
therapy school and some day hopes to
own her own salon.

High school accomplishments:
Jace
Austin Miller graduated from Gaither
High School. Jace is actively involved in
automotive design and repair and par-
ticipated in the football and wrestling
programs.
Plans after graduation:
Jace plans to
attend Hillsborough Community Col-
lege and then will investigate options
to further his education around auto-
motive design. Jace’s other desire is to
explore the world. He has a travel bug
and wants to visit many places in the
United States and overseas.
Emory Mongbeh

High school accomplishments:
Emory
graduated summa cum laude and
ranked sixth in his class of 450 seniors
from the American Senior High School.
He maintained a 3.98 GPA on a 4.00
GPA scale and was nominated for the
Silver Knight Award. Emory was chosen
to participate in an internship with
American Airlines during the month of
June 2013, where he shadowed aircraft
mechanics. He is currently taking avia-
tion maintenance technician classes at
George T. Baker Aviation School and
is working on earning his Powerplant
Certificate.
Church activities/hobbies/interests:
At
Sabbath services, Emory helps set up
and pack up the congregation’s sound
system. Emory is an inline skater. He
also enjoys playing the acoustic and
electric guitar and is interested in
building computers.
